Free Knitting Patterns for Machine, Passap, and Hand Knit
I’ve created three new pages at the right in my Navigation sidebar.
Free Knitting Patterns – Hand
Free Knitting Patterns – Machine
Free Knitting Patterns – Stitch Designs
The Hand and Machine pages are a collection of photo links back to the posts where the patterns originally appear. I’ve included a brief description of the equipment I used.
This should make searching a lot easier.
On the Stitch Designs page you will find my blog banners in Designaknit .pat format, Win_Crea .cut format, and as .gif files to print out for hand knitting. Since I make these designs for my blog header rather than actual knitting, you may need to limit some of the colors per row unless you are into multi-colored double bed jacquard or intarsia.
If you don’t have DesignaKnit, the easiest way to alter the stitch designs is to download the freeware Win_Crea. You can then change the colors, stretch the graphic, add columns, delete rows, etc. Simply save your changes back to the .cut file or print screen to make a graphic for hand knitting.

HI Berda,
This a wonderful site and you do so much good for everyone.
It’s a shame we can’t do something for you.
Keep up the good work your a wonderful careing person.
Marcella
Thanks for the great links! I’m new to knitting and am always on the lookout for projects to try. I wanted to pass along a site I found that has a few basic how to videos with tips on knitting. I’m not sure if you’re interested in how to knit videos, but I found these useful when I was just starting out.
Marcella,
The best way to help is to tell a machine knitting friend about my site and help me grow. The more visitors I have, the more motivated I am to photograph new tutorials.
There is nothing worse than pouring your heart into a project and no one visits.
Kate,
Thank you for taking the time to offer a link. Unfortunately, my spam filter appears to delete links unless they are typed out in full.

Love this site. I just dug out my old knitting machine and couldn’t cast on to save my life! I read your tutorial and discovered I wasn’t threading it properly. Thanks!
thank you verry mutch.
Just bought an old Pinkie and find your site wonderful for tips on using it..
I have only used brother and knitmaster machines before and I find it strange not to have any weights with this machine..
I may try to find some weights that I could use as I think it would work better with some..what is your veiw on that please..Pearl
I find weights help when I’m doing tuck patterns. The only catch, coming from a Japanese machine point of view, is that you have to use Passap 5mm combs. They are hard to find.
I have decided to start using my Brother 965i. I have never used the patterning on this machine, and I know I have the manual but would love to see how to use the patterning on video – can you recommend any? I learn much easier that way.
I urgently need a knitting machine Manual for a Empisal 260K knitting Machine.
I will really appreciate it if someone can forward me a soft copy via Email.
Thank you
