Jaywalker Socks Still Hate Me
The good news – I’ve started the second sock with larger needles below the ribbed cuff. Using 2.75 mm instead of 2.50 mm helps the Koigu have fewer pooling colors. The obnoxious vertical stripes are history. The sock also fits much better and the fabric isn’t cardboard. You can see how the fabric is more relaxed with fewer puckers, especially at the vertical "seams"
The bad news – I discovered late at night that I had 2 too many stitches on one side and 1 too few on the other. It seems that knitting like a mad woman in the dark is making my knitting machines look down right friendly. I know I counted as I went along. I must have kept counting the same two sections that were correct.
I’m frogging down the second sock leg in the morning to the safety pin. As best I can tell, it marks the last row where all sections are correct.
